Ards Forest Park

Ards Forest Park lies on the shores of Sheephaven Bay in County Donegal, covering a varied stretch of woodland, dunes, salt marsh and beach. Waymarked trails of different lengths run through the forest and out to the shoreline, taking in views across the bay.

The mix of habitats makes it good ground for birdwatching and for spotting other wildlife, and there are picnic areas and car parking for day visitors. It is one of the more accessible places in northern Donegal to combine a forest walk with time on a quiet beach.
