Ashtown Stables

Ashtown Stables is a riding centre at Ashtown, on the northwestern side of Dublin beside the Phoenix Park. Its position gives riders access to one of the largest enclosed parks in Europe, with wide open spaces and tree-lined avenues.

Centres like this generally cater for beginners and experienced riders alike, with lessons in an arena and hacks out under supervision. Helmets and basic instruction are usually provided, and sturdy footwear is worth bringing. Booking ahead is advisable, particularly at weekends and during school holidays.
