Atlantic Sheepdogs

Atlantic Sheepdogs is a working-farm attraction at Grange in north County Sligo, where visitors can see Irish sheepdogs at work with sheep on the land.

Sheepdog demonstrations are one of the more engaging ways to meet Irish farming life at close quarters: the handler, the whistles and commands, and the dogs moving stock across open ground. It suits families and anyone curious about how hill and coastal farms are run in the west. Grange lies along the coast road north of Sligo town, in the country beneath Benbulben. Booking in advance is advisable, as demonstrations usually run at set times.
