Ballincollig Coaches

Ballincollig Coaches is a family-run coach hire and touring company based at Woodview, Inniscarra, County Cork, taking its name from the nearby Cork town of Ballincollig. Established in the late 1980s, it is one of Cork’s longer-running family-owned coach operators, run by Donal and Lucy O’Callaghan together with their son Shane and daughter Maeve.

The company runs a modern fleet of around 15 vehicles ranging from mini coaches seating 6 to 14, midi coaches of 14 to 29 seats, and full-size coaches carrying up to 53 passengers. It holds both national and international operator licences, making it suited to journeys within Ireland and further afield.

Alongside private hire, school transport and contract work, Ballincollig Coaches specialises in guided touring, from single day trips to multi-day tours taking in the landscapes and culture of Ireland. Donal O’Callaghan has worked as a Bord Failte (Irish Tourist Board) tour guide since the 1980s, and tours travel with experienced drivers.
