Profile
Ballyhass Wake Park is a cable wakeboarding centre near Mallow in County Cork, forming part of the wider Ballyhass Lakes Adventure Centre. Set on spring-fed lakes within a former quarry, it is one of the largest wakeboarding cable parks in Ireland and caters to complete beginners and experienced riders alike. Rather than being towed by a boat, riders are pulled across the surface of the water by an overhead cable system, giving a sensation compared to surfing or snowboarding. The park runs straight-line cable setups fitted with a range of floating obstacles and rails, so newcomers can find their feet while more confident riders work on tricks. All equipment is supplied, and lessons are available for those trying the sport for the first time. The wake park sits alongside a broader adventure centre offering an inflatable aqua park on the lake, along with activities such as kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, climbing and high ropes. This makes the site a flexible day out for individuals, families and groups. Booking is available online, and there is car parking on site.
