Profile
Blessington Street Basin is a small walled park in Dublin City, County Dublin, built around a former reservoir and known locally as Dublin’s secret garden. A path circles the water, with benches, planting and mature trees screening it from the streets around.
Swans, ducks and other birds use the basin, and the enclosed setting makes it noticeably quiet given how close it is to the north inner city. It is a good place to sit for a while, and an easy detour if you are walking between Phibsborough and Parnell Square.
