Blue Pool

The Blue Pool is a sheltered inlet on the Beara Peninsula in County Cork, at Glengarriff, where a short wooded walk from the village leads down to calm, clear water fringed by rock and native trees.

It is an easy, family-friendly outing rather than a strenuous one — a gentle amenity walk with views out towards Bantry Bay, and a good chance of spotting seals and seabirds. The setting also serves as a departure area for boat trips into the bay, making it a convenient starting point for exploring the wider Beara coastline.
