Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre - Newgrange and Knowth

The Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre at Donore, County Meath, is the gateway to Newgrange and Knowth, the great Neolithic passage tombs of the Boyne Valley and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built more than five thousand years ago, the monuments predate Stonehenge and the pyramids of Giza.

Access to the tombs is by guided tour from the centre only, with a shuttle bus to the sites. Exhibitions explain the archaeology and the people who built them, and there are visitor facilities including refreshments. Tickets should be booked well in advance.
