Ceadogán Rugmakers

Ceadogán Rugmakers is based at Barrystown in County Wexford, where hand-tufted rugs are designed and made.

A visit gives an insight into a craft that is increasingly rare, from the choice of wool and colour through to the finished piece, and there is the chance to browse and buy work made on site. It is a rewarding stop for anyone interested in Irish design and textiles, and a good place to look for something made locally rather than imported.
