Profile
Colclough Walled Garden is on the Hook peninsula side of County Wexford, reached from New Ross, and forms part of the historic demesne landscape of the area.
Restored walled gardens like this show how Irish estates once grew their own fruit, vegetables and flowers, with ornamental planting alongside the productive beds. The high walls create a sheltered microclimate, so there is usually something in flower or in season. It is a quiet, unhurried place to walk, and it combines well with the wider woodland and riverside setting around it.
