Connemara Sheep and Wool Centre

The Connemara Sheep and Wool Centre is at Leenaun in County Galway, at the head of Killary Harbour where the mountains close in on the water.

The centre focuses on sheep and the wool they produce, with displays and demonstrations covering breeds, shearing, spinning, dyeing with natural materials and weaving. A shop sells wool and knitwear alongside other Irish craft, and there are refreshments on site. Its position on the main Connemara road makes it an easy stop between Westport and Clifden.
