Crana River and Fullerton Reservoir

The Crana River flows through Buncrana on the Inishowen peninsula, County Donegal, entering Lough Swilly at the edge of the town. Together with the nearby Fullerton Reservoir, it forms one of the better-known angling waters in this part of Inishowen.

The river is a game fishery, while the reservoir offers still-water fishing in an upland setting. Anglers should arrange the appropriate permits and permissions locally before fishing. Even without a rod, the riverside walks around Buncrana are pleasant and easily reached from the town centre.
