Cronin's Yard

Cronin’s Yard at Beaufort, County Kerry, is one of the main starting points for walks into Hag’s Glen and up Corrán Tuathail (Carrauntoohil), Ireland’s highest mountain, in the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks.

The yard provides parking and walker facilities, and is the point where most groups set off and finish. Even if you are not heading for the summit, the walk into the glen beneath the Reeks is a fine outing in its own right. Come prepared for mountain weather and check conditions before you go.
