Curragh Chase Forest Park

Curragh Chase Forest Park at Kilcornan, County Limerick, covers woodland, parkland and lakes on the grounds of a former country estate. The ruined shell of Curraghchase House stands within it, once home to the poet Aubrey de Vere, and walking trails thread out from the car park through mixed woodland.

The park is managed by Coillte and is popular for walking, picnics and birdwatching, with waterfowl on the lake and woodland species in the trees. Arboretum plantings add interest for tree enthusiasts. It works equally well for a short stroll or a longer afternoon outdoors.
