Dan O’Hara’s Homestead - Connemara Heritage & History Centre

Dan O’Hara’s Homestead, part of the Connemara Heritage & History Centre, sits on the Clifden road in the heart of Connemara, County Galway. The site tells the story of a pre-Famine hill farm and the family who worked it, set against the bog and mountain landscape of the region.

Alongside the restored farmhouse and its exhibits, visitors will find interpretation of Connemara’s history and settlement, with refreshments available. It is an accessible way to understand how people lived on this hard but beautiful ground.
