Profile
The Donabate to Portrane cliff walk follows the coastline of north County Dublin between the two villages, taking in low cliffs, beaches and long views over the Irish Sea. It is a relatively gentle route on mostly level ground, popular with walkers, runners and families.
The path can be exposed in poor weather and sections near the cliff edge call for care, particularly with children and dogs. Both ends are served by the village centres, and Donabate has a rail station for those coming from Dublin.
