Doonshean Beach

Doonshean Beach is a small cove on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, reached down a narrow road from the countryside west of Dingle town.

Steep ground and rock frame a compact strand, with clear water and a strong sense of seclusion. It appeals to walkers, swimmers and shore anglers, and the surrounding cliffs and headland are good for spotting seabirds. Access can be awkward and there are no facilities, so wear decent footwear, park considerately and take care on the descent and around the rocks.
