Drumcliffe Church and Grave of W.B Yeats

Drumcliffe Church, at Drumcliffe in County Sligo, stands beneath Benbulben on the site of an early monastic settlement founded by St Columba, where a round tower stump and a carved high cross still survive. The present Church of Ireland church is the focus for most visitors.

In the churchyard lies the grave of W.B. Yeats, marked by the epitaph taken from his own poetry. It is one of the most visited literary sites in Ireland and a natural anchor for a day spent in Yeats Country, with a visitor centre and tea rooms nearby.
