Profile
Five Fingers Strand lies on the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal, near Malin Head on the county’s far northern coast. It is a broad, wild Atlantic beach backed by some of the highest sand dunes in Europe, with the rock stacks that give the strand its name standing offshore.
The setting is exposed and unspoilt, good for long walks and for watching seabirds and coastal wildlife. Currents here can be strong, so it is a place for walking and looking rather than swimming.
