Galway City Library

Galway City Library is the main public library serving Galway City, County Galway, based at the Hynes Buildings in the city centre.

As well as lending books, it provides reading and study space, public computers and internet access, newspapers and periodicals, and children’s and young people’s sections. Programmes of talks, readings, workshops and family events run through the year, reflecting Galway’s strong literary life and its standing as a UNESCO City of Film and a hub for writers and Irish-language culture. Visitors are welcome to call in, browse the collections and use the reading areas.
