Profile
The Gap of Mamore is a high mountain pass on the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal, carrying a narrow road over the ridge between Mamore Hill and Urris. The climb is steep and twisting, and the summit opens out to long views over Dunree, Lough Swilly and the Atlantic coast.
It is a favourite with drivers, cyclists and walkers, with hill paths leading off from the top. There is a holy well by the roadside, and the pass is a landmark stop on the Inishowen 100 route.
