Profile
Glebe House and Gallery stands beside Lough Gartan in County Donegal, a Regency house set in woodland gardens above the water. It was the home of the painter Derek Hill, who gave the house and his art collection to the Irish State.
The rooms retain Hill’s decorative schemes and furnishings, and the collection includes works by Irish and international artists alongside paintings by the Tory Island school. The gardens and lakeside setting are part of the appeal, with a tea room on site during the open season.
