Glengowla Mines & Family Farm Experience

Glengowla Mines & Family Farm Experience is at Oughterard, County Galway, on the edge of Connemara. The site combines a former silver and lead mine, which visitors can go underground to see, with a working farm.

Guided tours take in the mine workings and the story of how ore was won from the rock, while the farm side offers sheepdog demonstrations, turf cutting and animals for families.
