Profile
Horn Head is a headland at Largatreany in County Donegal, rising above the Atlantic on the north coast near Sheephaven Bay. Its high sea cliffs and quartzite ground make it one of the most dramatic promontories on this stretch of coastline.
A looped road and walking routes give access to viewpoints over the sea, the cliffs and the offshore islands, and the cliffs are used by nesting seabirds in the breeding season. Conditions are exposed and the cliff edges are unfenced, so care is needed.
