Profile
Ireland’s Eye is a small uninhabited island lying off the north Dublin coast, a short distance out from Howth. Rocky and green, with steep cliffs on its seaward side, it is best known for its seabird colonies, which draw birdwatchers through the breeding season.
There are no facilities on the island, so visitors bring what they need and take it away again. Landing is by boat from the mainland, and the crossing itself gives fine views back towards Howth Head and across Dublin Bay.
