Irish Dance at the Thatched Cottage

Irish Dance at the Thatched Cottage takes place in The Claddagh, the old fishing village area of Galway city in County Galway. It offers visitors an introduction to Irish dance in an informal setting, combining demonstration with the chance to try a few steps yourself.

Sessions of this kind are usually light-hearted and suitable for beginners of any age, with some background given on the traditions behind the music and dance. It is an active alternative to a sit-down show and works well for families and small groups.
