Profile
The Kerry Cliffs rise above the Atlantic near Portmagee on the Iveragh peninsula in County Kerry, reached by a short walk uphill from the car park.
From the viewing points the cliffs fall sheer into the sea, with the Skellig Islands visible offshore on a clear day and Puffin Island close at hand. Seabirds nest along the rock faces through the summer. There is an admission charge and the site is exposed, so warm and windproof clothing is sensible whatever the season.
