Profile
Killahoey is a broad sandy beach on the north Donegal coast, backed by dunes and looking out over Sheephaven Bay towards the hills of the Rosguill and Horn Head headlands. It is one of the county’s more sheltered strands, with shallow water at low tide and long stretches of firm sand.
It suits walking, swimming in the warmer months, and simply watching the light change over the bay. As with any Atlantic beach, check conditions and lifeguard cover before entering the water.
