Killala Quay

Killala Quay is on the shore at Townplots East, Killala, in north County Mayo, where the town meets Killala Bay and the mouth of the River Moy.

The quay serves as a working and recreational waterfront, used as an embarkation point for boat trips and sea angling in the bay, which has a strong reputation for its fishing. It is also a quiet spot for a short walk, with views across the water and towards the Sligo coast. Killala itself has a round tower and a history tied closely to the 1798 French landing.
