Profile
Killiney lies on the coast of County Dublin, at the southern end of Dublin Bay, and is best known for its long shingle-and-sand beach backed by the railway line and wooded hills.
The shore is popular for walks, sea swimming and simply watching the bay, with views south towards Bray Head and the Wicklow coast. Reachable by DART from the city, it makes an easy half-day escape from central Dublin, and pairs naturally with a climb up the hill above the village.
