Kissane Sheep Farm

Kissane Sheep Farm is a working sheep farm at Eirk, County Kerry, in the hill country of the Black Valley area south of Killarney, which opens its gates to visitors.

Farm visits here centre on sheepdog demonstrations and an introduction to hill farming: how flocks are managed on open mountain ground, how dogs are trained and worked, and what the farming year involves. The setting, high among the mountains, is spectacular in its own right. It is a straightforward and genuine way to see a side of rural Kerry that most visitors only pass through.
