Leitir Corn Mill (Muileann Coirce Leitir)

Leitir Corn Mill, or Muileann Coirce Leitir, is a restored corn mill near Kilcar in south-west County Donegal, in the Gaeltacht country between Killybegs and Glencolmcille. Mills of this type were once central to rural life in Ireland, grinding oats and other grain for local farms.

A visit gives an insight into that older working landscape, set among the hills and small fields of the area. It combines well with the coastal drive around Slieve League. Check opening arrangements before your visit, as small heritage sites often operate seasonally.
