Lough Melvin and River Drowes - Drowes Estuary

The Drowes estuary lies near Ballyshannon in County Donegal, where the River Drowes carries the waters of Lough Melvin the short distance to the Atlantic. The river forms part of the boundary between Donegal and Leitrim and has a long-standing reputation among salmon anglers.
