Muckross House, Gardens & Traditional Farms

Muckross House, Gardens and Traditional Farms lies just outside Killarney in County Kerry, within Killarney National Park. The Victorian mansion overlooks Muckross Lake and is open to visitors, with guided access to its furnished rooms and a sense of how the estate household once operated.

The surrounding gardens are known for rhododendrons, azaleas and a rock garden, and are free to wander. The traditional farms recreate rural Kerry life before electrification, with working farmhouses, animals and craftspeople. There is a cafe and craft shop on site, and the walking and cycling trails of the park begin at the door.
