Profile
The National Photographic Archive is in Temple Bar, County Dublin, in the heart of the city’s cultural quarter. Part of the National Library of Ireland, it cares for the national collection of photographs, spanning studio portraits, documentary and press images, landscape and topographical views, and Irish life across more than a century and a half.
A ground-floor exhibition space shows free displays drawn from the collections, while researchers can consult images by arrangement. A quiet stop between the galleries, shops and pubs of the surrounding streets.
