North Mayo Heritage Centre and Enniscoe Gardens

The North Mayo Heritage Centre stands on the Enniscoe estate near Ballina, County Mayo, combining local history and genealogy with the estate’s restored gardens.

The centre holds records for the parishes of north Mayo and offers ancestral research, alongside displays on rural life and farming in the region. The Victorian walled garden at Enniscoe has been brought back into cultivation, with ornamental planting, fruit and vegetables, and woodland and lakeshore walks on the surrounding demesne beside Lough Conn. There is a tearoom on site, making it an easy half-day visit.
