Place Categories: Attraction Beach
Profile
Oldbawn, also known as Newtown Beach, is a stretch of sandy shore on the County Wexford coast, part of the long line of beaches on the county’s eastern seaboard.
It offers open sand, dunes and easy access to the Irish Sea for swimming and walking, with the sheltered, sunnier conditions this corner of the country is known for. Facilities are limited and lifeguard cover cannot be assumed, so take care with tides and currents. It suits a quiet beach day while touring the Wexford coast.
