O'Malley Ferries - Clare Island

O’Malley Ferries operates the passenger service to Clare Island from Roonagh Pier, west of Louisburgh in County Mayo.

The crossing takes roughly a quarter of an hour across the mouth of Clew Bay, with sailings running most frequently through the summer season and a reduced timetable in winter. Clare Island itself offers walking, cycling, a lighthouse, a medieval abbey and the tower house associated with Gráinne Mhaol.
