Pearse Street Library

Pearse Street Library is a Dublin City public library on Pearse Street, close to Trinity College. Alongside its lending service, it houses the Dublin and Irish Collection, a research resource for the history of the city.

That makes it a useful stop for anyone tracing Dublin ancestors or researching local and literary history, with newspapers, directories, photographs and printed local material. The building itself is a handsome early twentieth-century library interior, and reading room access is generally free.
