Pollan Bay

Pollan Bay at Pollan Strand, County Donegal, is a long Atlantic beach on the Inishowen peninsula, backed by dunes and open to the ocean.

The exposed position and reliable wind make it a draw for kitesurfing, windsurfing and other watersports, with instruction and activities available locally. Walkers and swimmers use the strand too, though the sea here can be lively and currents should be respected. On a clear day the views north along the coast are as much of a reason to come as the water itself.
