Robinstown Great Standing Stones

Set in the countryside near New Ross, County Wexford, the Robinstown Great standing stones are a group of upright prehistoric stones in an open field setting. Sites like this belong to Ireland’s long tradition of megalithic monuments, raised for purposes we can only partly reconstruct today.

A visit is a quiet, low-key affair rather than a formal attraction: no ticket desk or interpretive centre, just the stones, the fields and the surrounding south Wexford landscape. Sturdy footwear is sensible, and visitors should respect any land access arrangements and leave gates as they find them.
