Rossbeigh, White Strand

Rossbeigh, also called the White Strand, is a long sandy beach on a spit of dune land reaching into Dingle Bay in County Kerry. Sand and marram dunes run out from the shore, with the mountains of the Dingle Peninsula visible across the water.

It is used for swimming, walking and beach days through the summer, and remains a fine place for a bracing walk out of season. Currents and tides on an exposed Atlantic strand deserve respect, so check local conditions and any lifeguard notices before entering the water.
