Sky Road

The Sky Road is a looped scenic drive and cycling route running west from Clifden, the main town of Connemara in County Galway. Climbing above Clifden Bay, the road opens out to views of the Atlantic, offshore islands and the rocky Connemara coastline before returning to town.

The circuit is a favourite with cyclists and drivers alike, with viewing points along the higher stretches. The climbs are manageable but exposed, so it pays to allow time and dress for changeable weather off the ocean.
