St Patrick's Cathedral

St Patrick’s Cathedral is the national cathedral of the Church of Ireland, standing in Dublin, County Dublin. Founded in medieval times beside a well associated with St Patrick, it is the largest church in the country, with a long nave, medieval tiling, memorials and banners of the Knights of St Patrick.

Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver’s Travels, served as dean here and is buried in the cathedral. Choral services continue a centuries-old tradition, and the surrounding park makes a pleasant approach. An admission charge applies to visitors outside service times.
