The Ballinglen Museum of Art

The Ballinglen Museum of Art is at Ballycastle in north County Mayo, near the cliffs and blanket bog of the Ceide coast. It grew out of the Ballinglen Arts Foundation, which has hosted visiting artists in the village for many years.

The museum shows contemporary art, including painting, print and photography, much of it made by artists who have worked in this landscape. It is an unexpected pleasure in a small north Mayo village, and pairs well with a day spent along the North Mayo coast. Check opening times before visiting.
