The Island Golf Club

The Island Golf Club is a links course at Donabate, on the coast of north County Dublin. Laid out among tall dunes beside the estuary, it is one of the classic links tests in the Dublin area and a regular fixture on lists of Ireland’s better courses.

The ground is genuine linksland: firm turf, narrow fairways, blind shots and a wind off the Irish Sea that changes the round from day to day. Visitors are welcome by arrangement, and the setting alone rewards the short trip north from the city.
