The John F. Kennedy Arboretum

The John F. Kennedy Arboretum lies near New Ross in County Wexford, on the slopes below Slieve Coillte. It is a large public arboretum planted with thousands of species of trees and shrubs gathered from around the world and laid out across woodland, plots and open ground.

Waymarked walks, a lake and picnic areas make it easy to spend a few hours here, and the higher ground gives wide views over the Barrow and Nore valleys and the surrounding countryside. It is a rewarding stop for gardeners, walkers and families alike.
