The Lost Valley

The Lost Valley lies near Louisburgh in County Mayo, on a stretch of remote coastal farmland reached along the road towards Silver Strand and the mountains of south-west Mayo.

Guided walks across the working sheep farm take in dramatic coastal scenery, upland pasture and the traces of settlement left behind by families who once lived and worked the land here. Visitors get a combination of natural landscape, farming life and local history, so sturdy footwear and weatherproof clothing are worth bringing.
