The Rock Shop

The Rock Shop sits at Derreen, near Liscannor on the coast of County Clare, roughly two kilometres south of the Cliffs of Moher. It brings together a large collection of rocks, minerals, fossils and crystals, alongside jewellery and gifts, making it a natural stop for anyone touring this stretch of the Clare coastline.

Inside you will find precious and semi-precious stones, Connemara marble, onyx and a wide selection of healing crystals, as well as jewellery, carvings and Irish-themed gifts. A presentation room shows a free audio-visual feature on the history of quarrying the well-known Liscannor flagstones from the cliffs nearby, giving some background to the local stone and the landscape around the shop.

There is also a tea room, bright and spacious, with views over Liscannor Bay. It serves coffee, homemade scones, cakes and soup with brown bread, with both indoor seating and an outdoor patio. The shop and tea room are open daily from 10am, and coach groups are welcome.
