Tory Ferry

Tory Ferry runs from the pier at Magheroarty on the north-west coast of County Donegal, the main embarkation point for the crossing to Tory Island.

The sailing takes passengers across open Atlantic water to one of the country’s most remote inhabited islands, and the journey itself is a good part of the experience, with views back towards the Donegal coastline and Muckish and Errigal inland. Sailings are seasonal and subject to weather, so it is worth checking the timetable and conditions before travelling. Foot passengers are the norm; cars stay on the mainland.
